fire Safety Training Fire Awareness Training

The Fire Reform Act suggests that employers are now responsible for preventing a fire in their workplace and that risk assessments should be completed and staff training should be undertaken. By not complying with the general principles of the Act you are putting your staff and your workplace at risk and you may invalidate your insurance policy should a fire occur.

Many employers feel it a waste of time training staff stating that they have been going for some 20 + years and never had a fire. However, times change, staff change and your equipment and electrics deteriorate giving you the potential to have a fire on your premises.

The course is designed to alert staff to the poor practices in a workplace that could cause a fire and give practical tips to enhance good practice. The course does not include the use of fire extinguishers as it is not the responsibility of staff to fight a fire, it is to evacuate safely.
