This is a specialist session aimed at anyone working with people who have Seizures resulting from Epilepsy and other causes.

Objectives
- This session will help staff to understand:
- The types of seizures people can have
- How to recognise a seizure
- How to manage a seizure
- The aftercare needed following a seizure including the current recovery position
- The importance of recording information about the seizure
Assessment information
Each candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the session. Each candidate will be expected to demonstrate the current Recovery Position as part of their assessment.
Duration of the course
This session is designed to be delivered in 4 hours. For the purpose of the assessment of the recovery position the recommended number of participants is 12. For more than 12 a negotiation of the course times will be required
