I have just spent a fantastic week on an event mainly organised by Christine. I have done things I probably would have not done without her motivation, seen things I would not have had the opportunity to see and met key people across the British Isles. Thanks Chris.

When Chris began to deliver the training session it was obvious she has a passion for what she does. She was so inspirational, so motivating, I wanted to go and put everything into practice there and then.

Christine Harris has been involved with our organisation for over two years. During that time she was an active member of the Occupational Standards Working Group and a Care Ambassador.
Christine attended planning meetings regularly as part of the Ambassador scheme and contributed a range of innovative ideas to assist the development of this project, as well as facilitating several workshops over the last two years.
Christine always showed enthusiasm and commitment, she often gave her time voluntarily. Her rapport with young people was excellent, with her being approachable but professional at all times and supportive and encouraging to all members of the Ambassador team. She was able to inform young people about job roles, training opportunities and skills required. Christine provided appropriate activities to encourage the young people to look at such issues as communication, anti discriminatory practice etc.
Christine has also attended Careers Fairs and gave advice and guidance about careers to both young people and adults and has promoted the involvement of service users in training of staff and has been fully involved in the delivery of staff training and developing within the social care sector. Christine is fully aware of the importance of staff training and has an excellent understanding of many areas such as NVQ, Health and Safety, First Aid and specialised training in regards to Learning Disabilities etc. This has been evident in her involvement in the Occupational Standards Working Group where issues regarding skills development of the workforce were addressed.
